Join us, say YES
this is the third year of the Your Employee Shares program and it’s been great to see so many Prysmian Group employees demonstrate their commitment and belief in the business by signing up.
Last year we achieved great results, bringing the total amount of Prysmian Group shares now held by employees to almost 1%. We invested around 12€M on behalf of employees, and today those shares have a market value of around 28€M.
About 6,400 employees have already signed up for YES, between them holding over 600,000 shares. This year, we hope even more Prysmian Group employees will say YES. The take up in some of our plants has been incredible. 89% of eligible employees in Mudanya said YES, 73% in Livorno and over half of the workforce in Oulu (50%), even in China, which only joined the program last year, we saw a great result, with 30% of employees now signed up to YES.
To date, 40% of eligible employees globally have said YES to the incredible opportunity the program offers. This year, we’re hoping to to break the 50% mark.
More than just a chance to own shares in Prysmian Group at a special discounted rate, YES gives employees the opportunity to form a closer bond, both with each other, and the company we all work for, wherever in the world we are. From senior management to factory floor, Prysmian Group team members from all walks of life are taking advantage of the chance to own a part of the company, with shares at a special discount of up to 25% on the market price.
YES was originally created as a three year program, with 2015 seen as the final year. But it’s been such a success, that we’re considering extending it further –so watch this space! Their participation is not just a sign of trust in the company, but sends a fantastic signal to the market, and our customers, that our people believe in the business – because ultimately, it’s they who will create our future success.
