A great stride towards YES 2.0
More than 200 ambassadors ready to present the new plan with the goal to increase the share capital held by employees up to 1.5%
More than 200 employees from every country around the Group that are serving as ambassadors of the YES plan have met at the Milan Stock Exchange for a one-day training and refresher course about the new Your Employee Shares plan, the Group’s long-term stock ownership plan for employees.
The Board of Directors has recently voted to renew the plan for another three-year term, with the aim of making it a permanent programme to consolidate the Group’s position as a true public company.
“Our goal is to increase the share capital held by employees up to 1.5% by the end of this edition, in the second three-year period” says Fabrizio Rutschmann .
“For us, aligning the interests of our shareholders and employees is of fundamental importance. Yet, what we wish to offer our employees is not primarily a financial investment opportunity. Our goal is to promote engagement and the awareness that we are all working towards a common goal, which creates value for the benefit of all of the company’s internal and external stakeholders.”
The Plan, first launched in 2013, has already met with considerable success within the company and to date over 40% of the Group’s approximately 20,000 employees in 50 countries have become investors of the company.
This year we are expecting even larger employee participation” continues Fabrizio Rutschmann. “The renewal of the plan for the next three years and the confidence of the Board and our colleagues reinforce our belief that we made the right choice three years ago. Today we want to relaunch the plan and an innovative communication campaign that will genuinely involve all our people will start soon, so… stay tuned!”
“We have enjoyed a mass employee participation in recent years by aiming to offer superior returns even to those on lower incomes, and the new programme includes a series of improvements. YES is not a programme intended to enrich management but to increase the sense of belonging of all our employees and this is a fundamental value for a business like ours. Keep up the good work everyone, and especially our YES ambassadors around the world."
